The Secrets On How To Grow Young

The Secrets On How To Grow Young

I remember back to when I was 16, just like every other teenager around me, we all wanted to look older, mainly so we could get into nightclubs in the weekend. I bought dark lipstick and a pair of high heels thinking that this what was going to seal the deal for me…

Then when I reached the age of 21,  people commented and said that I looked 27/28, which was something I was actually very proud of (no idea why?).. Then soon after that I remember looking at myself in the mirror and spotting what I thought was my first wrinkle under my eye and going straight down to the shop to buy some anti-wrinkle cream, just incase.

I’ve now just turned the ripe old young of 31, the last thing I would want to be doing is wishing myself to be older.  Though, for the past 5 years I have immersed myself in what I call a lifestyle change of health & fitness. Living a Paleo influenced diet, using effective exercise, supplementation and “attempting” to manage my cortisol levels. All these factors I feel have given me a longer life span, younger feeling and most importantly younger look.

So I thought I’d share some of the key factors in growing younger:

  • Removing toxins & cleaning up the liver – This can come from a Paleo influenced diet, removing processed grains/foods, sugars, trans fats, chemicals in general, sweeteners etc
  • Removing specific chemicals/pollutants/xenoestrogens* – Replacing cosmetics with parabens/chemical free products, using natural cleaning products, eating organic foods with less sprays

*Xenoestrogens are chemicals that get into your body and the body treats them like human estrogen – giving you more estrogen than is good for you. Problems associated with xenoestrogens are breast cancer, fibroids, ovarian cysts, migraine headaches, acne, low testoterone in men, early onset of male menopause – andropause, man boobs and early onset of puberty.

  • Managing stress levels (cortisol control/adrenal fatigue) – From every angle – Sleep, relationship stress,  food/digestive issues, health, work
  • Effective prescribed exercise (not hours spent on cardio machines increasing cortisol levels)
  • Be happy & enjoy life..
